Established and developed a Children’s Service, identified the Continence and sleep needs of children with a learning disability, formulated a sleep and Continence clinic pathways, formulated assessments, monitoring charts, advice, organized venues, dates and implemented sleep and Continence clinics across Essex linking with Continence services.
• Devised and implemented Groups for families with children with a learning disability
• Identified behavioural needs and formulated a behavioural care pathway, assessments, monitoring, recommendations and set up and implemented behavioural clinics and behaviour groups across Essex
• Devised a Girls Own (Puberty and body changes, sexual health) professional health resource, care pathway and group session plans and implemented across Essex
• Successfully won a Queens Nursing Institute Developing Practice Award for Promoting Access for Children with a Learning Disability, to Primary and Secondary Health Services
• Devised a competency based Epilepsy Awareness Training - delivered this through organizing venues, dates, resource packs, Power Point presentations and implemented with families, care staff, educational staff and professionals across Mid Essex.
• Formulated Assessment, monitoring tools to understand Pain in children with a Learning Disability
• Implemented high quality assessments, plans of care and monitored the effectiveness and the support required to sustain and meet the individual’s needs.
